Welcome, I’m Cassie Holmes, an Australian artist painting quirky birds with heart and soul

Hi, I’m Cassie, an Australian artist who paints from the heart, guided by intuition, emotion, and a deep love of colour, nature and storytelling.

Lately, I’ve found myself drawn to painting quirky birds; curious, expressive little characters full of personality. To me, they represent confidence, individuality, and the courage to be seen. Each bird carries its own story, reminding us that we don’t have to hide our quirks or soften ourselves to belong.

My paintings often begin with a simple moment from everyday life or nature, something that catches my eye and sparks a playful what-if thought. I’ll imagine a bird stepping into that scene instead, interacting with the world in a curious, slightly cheeky way. These moments of imagination become the heart of my work, turning ordinary observations into joyful, story-filled paintings that celebrate individuality and seeing life a little differently.

I hope my paintings remind you that you’re allowed to take up space, to feel deeply, and to honour your own journey. May they bring a sense of joy, beauty, and quiet confidence into your home, and a little nudge to be unapologetically yourself.
